Snooker Table

A snooker table is a rectangular, flat-surfaced playing area used for the cue sport called snooker. It is typically larger than a standard pool table and has specific dimensions. The table's surface is covered with a green baize cloth, which provides a smooth and consistent playing surface for the balls.

Snooker is played with 21 colored balls and a white cue ball. The objective of the game is to score points by potting the balls into the pockets in a specific order. Each ball has a designated point value, and players must aim to score as many points as possible by potting balls and avoiding fouls.

The standard dimensions of a snooker table are around 11 feet 8.5 inches (3569 mm) in length and 5 feet 10 inches (1778 mm) in width. The playing surface is enclosed by a raised wooden border, and the table usually has six pockets, one at each corner and two in the middle of the longer rails.

At the beginning of a snooker game, the balls are set up in a triangular formation known as the "snooker triangle" at one end of the table. Players then take turns potting balls and attempting to outscore their opponents. The game requires a combination of skill, strategy, and precise cue ball control to be successful.

Snooker is a popular cue sport enjoyed by players of all skill levels and is often played professionally in tournaments around the world. It demands patience, concentration, and a good understanding of angles and ball physics to excel on the snooker table.
